BODIHOW BREWS

DOWNSHIFT COMMON

Taste a true American original! The Kentucky Common is a fascinating snapshot of post-Civil War beer culture in Louisville, Kentucky, up until Prohibition. Historically brewed     as a dark variant of a cream ale and served incredibly fresh—often taking just seven days from grain to glass—this is the quintessential, sessionable saloon beer.

Expect a clean, dry, and remarkably refreshing brew featuring light toast and smooth caramel flavors. It’s light-bodied, easy-drinking, and a delicious piece of liquid history.

GYPSY CARAVAN

E.S.B. – Extra Special Bitter

Don’t let the name fool you.  This is a beer that has a wonderful balance of earthy hop bitterness and malty undertones.

NE IPA

Citra, SImcoe, and Amarillo hops compline with London

Ale III yeast to give this hazy IPA a juicy expression.

MOSAIC IPA

This beer is based on our love of the Mosaic hop. Hop additions during whirlpool and dry hopping with additional Mosaic hops during fermentation, give this beer floral, fruity, tropical and earthy notes unique to this hop.

JUICY PALE ALE

Not like punching a straw into a juice box, but rather enjoying the fruit notes from a combination of Belma, Citra and Idaho 7 hops for a balanced pale ale.

HONEY LAGER

American Honey malt gives this easy drinking lager warm biscuity, honey-like notes.

MEXICAN LAGER

Flaked maize in the mash balanced with Czech Saaz hops separates this beer from the traditional American lager.

Light and crisp.

HAZY IPA III

A variant of our past hazy recipes with a slightly different grain bill and Azacca, Citra and Mosaic hops.

TANGERINE ALE

A light and crushable ale made with tangerine flavor to accentuate the zesty Cascade hop.

ONLY ONE

Scotch Ale

A copper colored medium bodied beer with malt forward flavor and strong caramel notes.

WINTER STOUT

This stout falls between a sweet stout and an oatmeal stout. Full bodied with plenty of roast character and notes of chocolate.  Let it warm up a bit to experience the depth of flavors through the different temperatures.

COMING UP:

OKTOBERFEST LAGER

A favorite style of many, our Märzen style lager is made with US grains that have been malted to European flavor profile.  Hallertau Mittelfrüh hops balance a malty finish.

RETURNING LATER:

AMERICAN LAGER

Our lager is a smooth light colored brew made with a blend of Hallertau Mittelfrüh and Czech Saaz hops for an easy drinking flavor profile.

BODICIOUS BLONDE

Blonde Ale

Our blonde is a little bolder than most with flavor derived

from Motueka hops from New Zealand.

 PORTER

Fuggle hops make this an earthy beer with a touch of sweetness from the addition of chocolate malt.

I’M NOT ALL RYE

IPA

“Got no patience, conversation drivin’ you up the wall…”

This IPA is not over the top with hop character.  Citrus on the nose and a nice piny, resinous bitterness to balance the spice of the rye malt.

LITTLE GUY LAGER

A little version of our American Lager is a smooth light colored brew made with a blend of Hallertau Mittelfrüh and Czech Saaz hops for an easy drinking flavor profile and comes in at 4% ABV.

AMBER ALE

Perle and Cascade hops combine to give our Amber the perfect balance of malt and bitterness.

WEST COAST IPA

Dry hopped with Cascade, Citra and Columbus and a varied malt profile gives a nice piney complexity to this pale ale
